MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Butch and wife Karen... come ride and worship with us

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Hi, my name is Butch Horton, Pastor, Open Road Biker Church. My number one goal is that my life would honor the Lord, and that I would spend forever with Him in heaven. I mean anything else is just fluff, right?  The Lord has blessed me so very much, and I am very grateful to Him. I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful family who all love and serve the Lord in The United States as well as overseas missions.

We are, by most standards, a very simple family that struggles with the ups and downs of this life as does any other family.  But I am so blessed to know that we all love the Lord, and serve in Kingdom work in one way or another.  Karen and I reside in the community of Salado, Texas.  We love family days with lots of movies and eating. And occasionally, swimming or walking together.

Aside from family and church responsibilities, my favorite thing to do is to ride my Harley around the countryside, taking in the wind and the view.  Karen and I both enjoy time on the bike together, riding the back roads of the Hill Country.

My very blessed and simple life consists of loving my wife, Karen, family, loving the church, and trying to keep the correct balance of it all. I don't know what else a man could ask for. Thank you Lord Jesus for the blessings of my life and may it be for your glory.

Please come and visit, share in the Gospel and let our church family meet yours. May the Lord guide you and blessings to you and your family.

OUR HISTORY

June 7, 2009 marked the beginning of Open Road Biker Church. Marking our 14th Anniversary this year, you can see from the video above that we have grown, served the Lord and expanded from our humble beginnings at a small coffee shop in Georgetown, Texas to our current Church on the Hill. Come visit, come worship, come and be a part of the future and the growth of Open Road Biker Church. Our thanks to each and every venue that opened the door to ORBC to practice, preach and spread the Word of God.
